This is the color scheme I chose for my newest project. I decided to keep both images the same tonal color to convey the mood of the piece. As for the difference between the “real” person vs. the embodiment of grief or depression, I decided that the diffences in the drawing between the two figures would be enough to show that the “reflection” is something more. You don’t see it in the color study drawing, but in the full size piece the reflection’s eyes and mouth are closed and the “real” person’s eyes are open and the mouth is slightly parted.
The original post of the drawing of this project is May 6, 2009
