Here is the finished piece. Another labor of love, this took a lot of redo’s and practice sheets of paper to get these shadows. And I honestly think that I could keep going and still never really be satisfied. But overall, I do think that the look and feel are what I was aiming for. I did re-learn alot about shadow and color while working on this piece, and also heightened my observation skills a bit. I do have to give specific credit to a book by Chris Saper called “Painting Beautiful Skin Tones with Color and Light”. It was great tool for putting things that I “knew” already together in a practical, straight forward way.
